    What do you mean by erratic? If the patient is making a disturbance then there is a pretty excellent opportunity the doctor will order something like ativan or valium.

    A patient will doubtless not initially be positioned in isolation unless there is a very excellent opportunity they might have a highly contagious disease like TB or meningitis.
